EBA meets with the Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management

  On 4 February, the Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee of the European Business Association held a working meeting with Oleh Bondarenko, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management. During the meeting, participants discussed the Committee’s work plan for 2026, as well as key environmental and climate policy issues that significantly affect business operations. In particular, the discussion focused on: the need to reinstate the exemption for mining industry waste until a dedicated sectoral law is adopted; the importance of developing a legislative framework for the Emerald Network; climate policy and the decarbonisation of enterprises; access to financing for companies implementing environmental and climate projects; the ongoing reform of the state environmental control system. The Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee of the Association thanks Oleh Bondarenko for an open and constructive dialogue and his readiness to work together in finding solutions in the field of environmental policy and sustainable development.
