How the EBA Odesa HR Tour Brings Together the Region’s HR Community: A Visit to MTBank

06/ 02/ 2026
The Southern Ukraine Office of the European Business Association kicked off 2026 with the launch of a new format for the HR community — the EBA Odesa HR Tour. This initiative is a series of in-person company visits that allow participants, on the one hand, to see how HR processes are built and implemented in real business environments as well as to learn about the challenges faced by professionals from other companies and industries, and on the other hand, to exchange practical tools for employee development within their own teams.  The first visit within the project took place on February 4 at MTBank, an EBA member company that combines financial stability with the flexibility of a modern organization. The meeting brought together HR managers and business leaders who strive not only to improve internal processes, but also to foster a culture of open knowledge sharing within the professional community.  The visit began with a guided tour of MTB bank’s key departments, offering participants insight into the bank’s day-to-day business operations. This was followed by a presentation from Oksana Furman, HRD of MTB bank, who shared how the company’s values, corporate culture, and effective cross-department communication are shaped. In addition, participants had the opportunity to see how the Bank’s HR department provides systematic and comprehensive support to employees — from structured onboarding, adaptation programs, and mentoring, to talent development, learning and upskilling initiatives, performance management, fostering a feedback culture, employee well-being support, engagement programs, and the creation of transparent career pathways. The discussion was held in a live dialogue format, with participants asking questions, sharing their own experiences, and jointly seeking solutions to the current challenges faced by HR professionals today.  Special attention was also given to the tools used by HR professionals from member companies to retain employees, increase engagement, and build trust between management and teams. These topics are particularly relevant for the Southern region, where the shortage of qualified talent remains a common challenge.  The Southern Ukraine Office of the European Business Association sincerely thanks the MTBank team for their openness, hospitality, and willingness to share their experience, as well as all participants for their active involvement and meaningful discussion.
