First meeting of the Subcommittee on Chemical Safety: Joint discussion with MP Oleh Bondarenko On 7 July, the newly established Subcommittee on Chemical Safety of the European Business Association held its first meeting. Alongside representatives of the business community, the discussion was joined by Oleh Bondarenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management. At present, the key issues of concern to the business community in the field of chemical safety include: The Technical Regulation on the Safety of Chemical Products (REACH); The Technical Regulation on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemical Products (CLP). During the meeting with Oleh Bondarenko, member companies of the EBA shared their own developments and expressed concerns regarding the implementation of the new legislation. A key outcome of the meeting was the achievement of mutual understanding between the business community and the relevant parliamentary committee. The parties agreed on further joint steps aimed at strengthening dialogue with all stakeholders, including the relevant executive authorities, in order to create an effective and predictable regulatory environment. The business community appreciates the openness of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management to dialogue, as well as its willingness to continue cooperation and support the EBA’s initiatives.

On 7 July, the newly established Subcommittee on Chemical Safety of the European Business Association held its first meeting. Alongside representatives of the business community, the discussion was joined by Oleh Bondarenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management.

At present, the key issues of concern to the business community in the field of chemical safety include:

The Technical Regulation on the Safety of Chemical Products (REACH);
The Technical Regulation on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemical Products (CLP).
