A Dialogue Between Women Leaders and EU Representatives on Ukraine’s Future

On September 30, Maryana Lutsyshyn, Head of the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association, took part in a meeting with Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement. The informal lunch format created space for an open and meaningful dialogue on the role of women in society and Ukraine’s future within the European Union. 🤝 The meeting was also attended by Katarína Mathernová, EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Ylva Johansson, EU Special Envoy for Ukrainians in the EU, Anna Jarosz-Friis, Director of the Ukraine Service at DG NEAR, Kateryna Kit, First Lady of Lviv, as well as women leaders from the Lviv region. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, raise important issues, and amplify the voices of Ukrainian women leaders. 💡 The discussion focused on: • the current state of women’s leadership in Ukraine; • the importance of mutual support and inspiration; • the creation of new dialogue formats to promote gender equality and the development of women’s entrepreneurship. ✨ A key takeaway was the shared vision that the ultimate goal is to reach a level where gender is no longer a separate topic, and people are evaluated by their contribution rather than by their gender. 🙏 We are grateful to the Delegation of the European Union for organizing this meeting, and to all participants for their openness, strength, and commitment to building Ukraine’s European future.
