English Edition of Anastasiya Shevchenko’s “War. Life. Business.” Presented at the Ukraine Reconstruction Summit in Washington, D.C.

04/ 11/ 2025
Washington, D.C. — September 2025. At the prestigious Ukraine Reconstruction Summit (URS 2025), held on September 13–14 at MGM National Harbor, the English edition of “War. Life. Business.” — authored by Anastasiya Shevchenko, CEO of Global HR Solutions — was presented to over 300 global business, investment, and policy leaders. The Ukraine Reconstruction Summit, described as “a gathering of global leaders, investors, policymakers, and visionaries shaping the future of Ukraine”, featured senior participants from the United States, Poland, Ukraine, Israel, North Macedonia, Libya, and other markets. With over $30 billion in reconstruction deals currently in development, the Summit positioned Ukraine’s rebuilding as a cross-sector, cross-border investment platform — shifting the global focus from emergency response to sustainable growth and technological innovation. A Message of Resilience and Opportunity. As one of the event’s keynote speakers, Anastasiya Shevchenko delivered a powerful address on business transformation and labor market trends in wartime Ukraine, underscoring the resilience and strategic adaptability of Ukrainian companies. “Ukrainian business is the most resilient and antifragile business in the world. At this level of resilience, we simply have no peers. There’s no need to wait for peace agreements — now is the time to invest and work with Ukrainians. We can overcome any challenge and always find solutions,” — said Anastasiya Shevchenko. She added: “Many foreign companies are already successfully operating in Ukraine. Waiting for ‘post-victory’ entry means arriving too late.” Introducing “War. Life. Business.” — A Chronicle of Courage and Enterprise. During her presentation, Shevchenko unveiled the English-language edition of her groundbreaking book “War. Life. Business.” — a 535-page chronicle of strength, courage, and resilience. The book features 20 real stories of Ukrainian and international companies that not only survived but continued to innovate, employ, and build the future amid the full-scale war. “I shared 13 key lessons and 5 survival strategies from the book — insights I call ‘MBA in Resilience’. The way the audience listened and photographed every slide showed how deeply the message resonated. I believe we Ukrainians have earned this MBA in Resilience with dignity. I hope I inspired some of the summit’s participants — owners of multi-million and billion-dollar businesses — to start building in Ukraine today,” — noted Shevchenko. The author emphasized that the English edition makes the stories of Ukrainian business accessible to readers worldwide, sharing the spirit of resilience, humanity, and ingenuity that defines the nation’s entrepreneurs. A Global Platform for Reconstruction and Partnership. URS 2025, themed “Defending Peace Together — Courage. Solidarity. Hope.”, is designed as a platform to unite governments, Fortune 500 companies, investors, and civil society around transparent and technology-driven reconstruction models. The summit’s organizers highlight that “breakthrough technologies will help create radical transparency, eliminate fraud, and establish Ukraine as a model for 21st-century reconstruction.” Shevchenko noted that URS 2025 marks a turning point in Ukraine’s recovery, with major businesses demonstrating genuine interest in investing and building in Ukraine. A dedicated $3.5 million fund was also launched at the summit to support reskilling and upskilling programs, preparing Ukrainian talent for the economy of the future. Inside the Book: 20 Stories of Business Under Fire. All stories featured in “War. Life. Business.” appear under one cover for the first time, including the journeys of companies such as European Business Association, Nova Poshta, ATB Corporation, Diia City Union, Kyivstar, Arsenal Insurance, Oschadbank, Aurora Multimarket, WOG Group, RENOME SMART, METRO Ukraine, and Factor-Druk Printing House. The full-color edition stands out not only for its content but also for its craftsmanship: printed on premium Finnish coated paper, illustrated with exclusive photographs and infographics, and finished with state-of-the-art volumetric lacquer technology and a hardcover design. The book was printed at Factor-Druk, the largest printing house in Eastern Europe, which was rebuilt after a missile strike in May 2024 with support from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation — a story that also appears in the book. A Book That Gives Back. Pre-orders for the English edition “War. Life. Business.” are available online. All proceeds from sales will be multiplied and reinvested into Global HR Solutions’ long-term employment programs for veterans and internally displaced persons (IDPs). “Every purchase of War. Life. Business. is both an investment in knowledge and a contribution to Ukraine’s future. We will multiply every dollar and reinvest it into helping veterans and IDPs find jobs — supporting people, the economy, and the nation’s defense capability,” — emphasized Anastasiya Shevchenko.
