“A million found me unexpectedly”: Winner of OTP BANK’s “Mil for a Car” promotion receives her prize

23/ 09/ 2025
OTP BANK JSC has presented the prize to the winner of its “Mil for a Car” campaign – Yuliia Strelbitska from Vinnytsia. The client travelled to the Bank’s Head Office to receive a certificate for one million hryvnias, handed over by Nataliia Slichuk, Head of Marketing Department at OTP BANK. “The OTP BANK team warmly congratulates our winner! We are pleased that, even in such challenging times, we can support people. The Bank regularly runs attractive promotions for its clients. Since 2019, for example, we have been giving customers the chance to win a car. Our mascot, “Lyamchyk”, explains how our campaigns work and how to win. Keep following him – he will definitely surprise you again. We plan to continue holding the “Mil for a Car” promotion on a regular basis,” said Nataliia Slichuk. During the prize-giving, the winner admitted she initially did not believe the news, as she had previously received suspicious phone calls. But when she heard the calm and confident voice of the Head of the Bank’s Vinnytsia branch, she realized the prize was real. “When Oksana Mykhailivna said “You’ve won a million”, I hesitated at first, but then I remembered the “Mil for a Car” promotion. I was overwhelmed with emotion and started crying. I called my husband to tell him, but he laughed and reassured me. When I called him again, he said: ‘I already know you’ve won,’” Yuliia recalls. Ms. Yuliia describes herself as a risk-taker but had never previously taken part in bank promotions. Yet she always believed in her success: “I was sure I’d win a million one day. Last year my husband even gave me 50 lottery tickets for my birthday, and I only won 400 hryvnias. But the million still found me unexpectedly,” she shared. A long-time OTP BANK customer, Yuliia usually uses the Bank’s consumer credit products. She encourages others to participate: “You should definitely take part in such promotions. I didn’t expect it was possible to win, but now I’m convinced: it’s worth trying. Believe – success finds everyone in the most unexpected places,” she advises other clients. The “Mil for a Car 2.0” campaign ran from 7 July to 31 August 2025. The draw took place live on the Bank’s Facebookpage on 10 September, using a random number generator. Everyone could watch it in real time.
