ЕВА meeting with the NACP team on corruption risks in the recovery sector

  The European Business Associations Committee on Ukraine’s Recovery met with the NACP team, including Deputy Head Serhii Hupiak, to discuss corruption risks in the recovery sector. The participants discussed key recovery areas that require coordinated efforts to eliminate corruption risks. These areas include compensation mechanisms for businesses concerning damaged objects and infrastructure as a result of russias aggression, as well as business involvement in the restoration of damaged and destroyed facilities in general and the construction of new ones. The NACP team presented the results of this years study on corruption risks during the implementation of an experimental project aimed at restoring several settlements in regions affected by armed aggression and provided their recommendations to minimize these risks. In turn, the EBA Committee members shared practical experiences regarding the problematic aspects of business participation in public procurement. The EBA’s experts expressed their willingness to analyze draft regulatory acts aimed at addressing recovery issues, identify and provide recommendations for minimizing corruption risks, and ensure maximum transparency in the recovery processes.
