Valentyna Hvozd and Oleksandr Nahorny participated in the discussion regarding key changes to the competition legislation of Ukraine

  On 4 October 2024, representatives of Sayenko Kharenko joined an important round table organised by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU). The event discussed the draft Law of Ukraine, “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Activities of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.”  Oleksandr Nahorny, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko and Head of the UBA Competition Law Committee, together with Valentyna Hvozd, partner at Sayenko Kharenko, took an active part in the discussion, presenting expert opinions on the proposed changes.  The round table gathered key stakeholders, including representatives of the AMCU, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Business Ombudsman Council, leading business associations, and experts from international technical assistance projects.  This draft law is part of the second stage of competition law reform. It provides for amendments to key regulatory acts, including the Commercial Code, the Law “On the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine,” and the Law “On Protection Against Unfair Competition.”  Sayenko Kharenko continues actively monitoring the development of competition legislation in Ukraine and participating in its formation, providing its clients with the most up-to-date expertise in this field.

The round table gathered key stakeholders, including representatives of the AMCU, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Business Ombudsman Council, leading business associations, and experts from international technical assistance projects. 

This draft law is part of the second stage of competition law reform. It provides for amendments to key regulatory acts, including the Commercial Code, the Law “On the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine,” and the Law “On Protection Against Unfair Competition.”
