Novelties in tax legislation for non-residents

  Initiated by the European Business Association and Legal Alliance law firm, an online discussion on the novelties of the Tax Code for non-residents will be held on March 16, 2021. Legal expert Vitalii Savchuk, attorney and counsel of Legal Alliance, will speak on the new rules altering the tax landscape for non-residents and will share professional insights on the topic with members of the EBA Committees. According to the legal expert, the new rules alter the tax landscape and limit the autonomy of non-residents, operating in Ukraine through permanent representatives, aiming at gathering additional data on operational performance of non-residents in Ukraine by the legislator. The following issues will be covered during one-hour session from 11.00 till 12.00: Registration of a non-resident, whose permanent representative is already registered as taxpayer, as an income taxpayer in Ukraine. Consequences of a refusal by non-residents to register in the local tax authorities. The list of necessary documents for registration of a non-resident as a taxpayer.
