EBA Lviv Meets the Candidate: Yaroslav Rushchyshyn

    On October 13, 2020, within the new Western Ukrainian Office of the Association project: EBA meets the Candidate, took place a meeting with the candidate for Lviv UTC Head Yaroslav Rushchyshyn. Briefly about the main goals of Lviv UTC development from Mr. Yaroslav: To make Lviv a “city of short distances”, to implement a mobility policy, prioritizing: pedestrian - two-wheeled transport - public transport - car; To draft a new city development strategy and harmonize it with the city Master Plan that should be transparent and accessible to citizens; The support for 4 well-developed business clusters in Lviv - IT, hospitality, light industry and logistics; however, the city also needs to develop manufacturing; To create synergy between business and municipal entities; To make Lviv a cultural and intellectual tourist center, focusing on the tourists quality, not quantity; Land purchase for the waste disposal landfill construction; the city must be environmentally friendly for people. During the meeting, Yaroslav Ivanovych noted that the mayor main task is to bring the investor that Lviv needs by the hand, based on the citys development strategy. It does not matter for Mr. Rushchyshyn whether the investor is foreigner or domestic. The main thing is that it should be investors who will implement new technologies, and not just rely on cheap labor. The candidate also assured that he goes on election with a strong team, which members have experience in attracting investment.
