LCF Law Group provided turnkey regulatory support of the PV powerplant project

08/ 05/ 2020
Scatec Solar and partners have started commercial operation at the 54 MW Bohuslav-2 PV-powerplant in Ukraine, less than ten months after the closing of the project financing. The power plant is located in Bohuslav, Kyiv region, owned by the Norwegian company Scatec Solar. The installed capacity of the powerplant is 54 MW. The facility will provide clean energy to about 27,000 households. LCF Law Group provided full legal support in the regulatory procedures required for the commercial operation of the powerplant: licensing, the designation of the ‘feed-in’ tariff, obtaining of the standing of a participant in the electricity market, and PPA execution. Beside that, we advised on construction, commissioning, and grid connection legal matters. The project was led by Ivan Bondarchuk, counsel and head of energy and natural resources practice, and associate Kateryna Andarak.
