Joint Redcliffe Partners and Clifford Chance Legal executive course successfully launched

29/ 05/ 2019
On 24 May 2019, we successfully launched a joint Redcliffe Partners and Clifford Chance Legal executive course (LEC) with a focus on cross-border transactions and the interplay between their Ukrainian and English law aspects. At our inaugural session we covered a selection of topics under English law, including transactional matters, contracts and commonly used terminology under English law. The speakers of the first session were Nick Fletcher, Of Counsel at Clifford Chance Warsaw, and Rafal Zakrzewski, Banking and Finance Counsel at Clifford Chance Warsaw. Nick is a former partner and senior lawyer of Clifford Chance focusing on M&A and private equity transactions with a focus on the Central and Eastern European region. Rafal is an experienced banking and finance lawyer, who founded and continues to contribute to a transactional law course at Cambridge University (joint ventures & venture capital, private and public M&A and finance). Zoryana Sozanska-Matviychuk, Partner and Head of M&A at Redcliffe Partners and a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, moderated the session, and provided insights on the practical Ukrainian aspects of the topics discussed. We are grateful to the guests of our first LEC and will be happy to see everyone interested at future LEC sessions, where we will cover topics such as currency control/liberalisation of banking regulations in Ukraine, Ukrainian competition law questions, and other topics under both Ukrainian and English law.
