Requirements:

  • Higher education in finance, accounting, auditing or economics.
  • Experience as a chief accountant for at least 5 years (experience in non-profit organizations will be an advantage).
  • Thorough knowledge of current accounting and tax legislation.
  • Confident user of MS Office (especially Excel), BAS CORP, Vchasno, M.E.Doc, MS D365 will be an advantage.
  • Experience in document management and budgeting.
  • Successful experience in passing inspections and audits, interacting with regulatory authorities.
  • Compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of English (confident communication and work with documents).
  • Ability to work with large amounts of information and multitask.
  • Ability to organize the work of a team and make management decisions.
  • Conscientiousness, professionalism, responsibility, punctuality, attention to detail, analytical thinking.

Responsibiities:

  • Ensuring proper accounting in accordance with current legislation, standards and policies of the organization.
  • Management of the accounting team: participation in personnel selection, distribution of responsibilities, mentoring and development of employees.
  • Timely preparation of financial reporting for management, as well as tax reporting to state authorities.
  • Closing of accounting periods (monthly and quarterly) in BAS CORP systems, reconciliation with MS D365.
  • Control of the targeted use of organization funds.
  • Control of proper accounting of grant projects, functional management of accountants of grant projects.
  • Control of expenses in accordance with the approved budget; participation in the preparation of the organization's budget and annual consolidated financial report.
  • Verification of payments before their transfer through the electronic banking system.
  • Control of banking and cash transactions, rational use of material, labor and financial resources.
  • Control of labor and payroll accounting.
  • Control of currency transactions, close cooperation with banks.
  • Organizing annual inventory, writing off damaged and destroyed fixed assets and stocks.
  • Participation in tender procurement.
  • Close cooperation with the Finance Director in the development and optimization of financial processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring proper implementation of the organization's financial and administrative procedures.
  • Participation in organizing external and internal audits, preparing relevant documentation and reports.
  • Supporting effective cooperation with program managers and other departments.
