Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Finance Manager, Accountant, or in a similar financial role (experience in international organizations and donor-funded projects is a strong advantage).
  • Solid knowledge of Ukrainian accounting and tax legislation.
  • Practical experience working with BAS CORP (mandatory).
  • Experience in budgeting and financial documentation management, including electronic systems such as Vchasno and MEDoc.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher, both written and spoken.
  • Strong ability to work with large volumes of information, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and analytical thinking.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine, as well as adherence to child safeguarding principles and international humanitarian standards.

Responsibiities:

  • Monitor project expenditures in line with the approved budget.
  • Manage and allocate project financial resources, with a focus on financial planning, accounting, and budget administration.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and the organization’s finance team.
  • Ensure proper implementation and compliance with administrative and financial procedures in accordance with donor requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare timely interim and final financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate treasury functions, including the management of advance payments.
  • Maintain complete financial and accounting records of the project in BAS, D365, and other internal systems.
  • Provide financial oversight and support for the procurement of goods, works, and services within the project in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Support the financial management of sub-grant mechanisms (if local civil society organizations are engaged).
  • Ensure regular financial monitoring and reporting on project performance and financial status.
  • Participate in internal and external project audits.
