Russia is intensifying pressure on Ukraine’s cities, energy infrastructure, and economy, while Ukraine is expanding its ability to strike deeper into Russia. At the same time, both countries face growing constraints in manpower, finances, and military resources.

And then comes winter.

The coming months could bring another severe test for Ukraine’s energy system and civilian population. But they will also increase pressure on Moscow.
