Initially, AGROTRADE’s activities included supplying agricultural businesses with petroleum, oil and lubricants, trading in grain and sugar. Acquisition of procurement enterprises (silos and grain collection stations) encouraged the management to engage highly qualified professionals in creating its own production complex, building and renovating new production facilities, arranging for procurement of marketable produce. In 2000—2005 the company took over new enterprises and started playing a significant role in the domestic and foreign wholesale markets of grain and oil crops. In 2006 AGROTRADE’s management launched a new activity — agricultural production. This turned the company into a vertically integrated holding with a closed agricultural production cycle — production, processing, storage of and trade in agricultural produce. Over a few recent years the company’s land bank has grown to 6500 0 ha in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts. Now AGROTRADE is among top ten leading agricultural companies of Ukraine.
