The volatile political and economic environment has a direct impact on trade processes. Using Ukraine as an example, we can see how rapidly the conditions for export and import can change depending on a multitude of factors \u2014 from internal regulations of martial law to external restrictions or, conversely, preferences.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Ukraine is rapidly harmonizing its customs legislation with European standards. Thus, in 2025, a number of amendments to the Customs Code will come into force, and Ukraine also plans to fully update the Customs Code in 2026. Additionally, on January 1, 2025, the updated Pan-Euro-Med rules, among others, came into effect.<\/p>\n

Changes occur regularly, and without developed knowledge and skills, navigating them can be quite challenging.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the Customs Committee of the European Business Association traditionally continues to conduct the “International Trade Basics”<\/strong> course, which will help you better understand the practical aspects of the processes and navigate the new realities of international trade and customs regulation.<\/p>\n

This time, we are offering two versions of the course:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Beginners\u2019 edition.<\/strong> We invite company managers and executives who are just starting to work in the field of international trade or who do not work in this field but want to better understand foreign economic activity. The course will take place on May 14-15<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Advanced edition.<\/strong> We invite colleagues who are already working in the field of foreign economic activity and are interested in current changes and prospects for reforming the sphere of international trade to stay up to date. The course will take place on May 21-22<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Upon completion of the course, all participating companies will receive an answer to an individual question from our specialists, as well as a Certificate of Completion.<\/p>\n

    Module 1. Regulation of International Trade in Ukraine and European Integration.<\/p>\n

    Module 2. Preferential Origin of Goods and Free Trade.<\/p>\n

    Module 3. Authorizations and Simplifications.<\/p>\n

    Module 4. Customs Disputes.<\/p>\n

    Module 5. Practical Aspects of Customs Procedures.<\/p>\n

    Advanced edition Course Program:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Module 1: General Overview of Current and Future Changes in Customs Law and International Trade in Light of European Integration.<\/p>\n

    Module 2: Changes Affecting Logistics Activities.<\/p>\n

    Module 3: Changes Regarding Authorizations (AEO, simplifications, processing regime authorizations), etc.<\/p>\n

    Module 4: Changes in Matters of Liability for Violations of Customs Rules, Current Court Practice in Customs Disputes.<\/p>\n

    Module 5: Changes in the Practical Aspects of Customs Procedures.<\/p>\n

    Module 6: Updates to the Pan-Euro-Med Rules of Origin and Changes to Free Trade Agreements.<\/p>\n
