\"\"On 15 October, the European Business Association\u2019s Marketing and Communications Committee held a roundtable with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv on \u201cPR and Marketing Education Amid Staff Shortages\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The university was represented by Dmytro Oltarzhevskyi<\/strong>, Doctor of Sciences in Social Communications, Professor and Head of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the university\u2019s Educational and Scientific Institute of Journalism.<\/p>\n

The Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is one of Ukraine\u2019s leading educational and research centres in this field. It graduates around 100 advertising and PR professionals every year. Potential areas of cooperation between the university and businesses include student internships and employment, partner-supported incentive programmes, joint events, training for company employees, and research commissioned by businesses.<\/p>\n

Participants discussed the specific needs of communications and marketing professionals across different industries, how well educational programmes meet employers\u2019 needs, and graduates\u2019 readiness for employment. They also exchanged views on how to make partnerships between universities and employers more systematic and effective.<\/p>\n
