The organization officially validated SoftServe&#8217;s near- and long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets and verified the company\u2019s net-zero target by 2050.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative is an important milestone for SoftServe\u2019s global progress and sustainability. It reflects the company&#8217;s dedication to responsible business and provides a clear, science-based framework for reducing our environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As substantiated by SBTi, SoftServe commits to: \u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 63.17% by 2035 (from a 2021 baseline)<\/li>\n<li>Reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, and business travel by 37.5% by 2035 (from a 2022 baseline)<\/li>\n<li>Achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain by 2050<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SBTi is a corporate climate action organization enabling companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis. It develops standards, tools, and guidance allowing companies to <a href=\"https:\/\/sciencebasedtargets.org\/target-dashboard\">set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets<\/a> and reach net-zero by 2050 at the latest. The independent validation from SBTi confirms SoftServe&#8217;s targets meet internationally recognized standards with a credible, long-term roadmap that aligns with the latest climate science and supports the global ambition to limit global warming to 1.5\u00b0C. Further, SoftServe is among the first companies in Ukraine to have its science-based climate targets validated by the SBTi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cFrom operational efficiency to supply chain stability, climate change threatens our livelihoods as well as the core business functions essential to our societal progress,\u201d <\/em><strong>said Yuliya Zaplotynska, Environmental Sustainability Director at SoftServe.<\/strong> <em>\u201cThese targets build on real, measurable progress \u2014 over the past several years, we&#8217;ve made steady gains in reducing our energy consumption and lowering our carbon intensity across the business.
