We therefore welcome the further development of these mechanisms and the consideration of a number of issues that are important to businesses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In particular, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmu.gov.ua\/npas\/pro-vnesennia-zmin-do-poriadku-nadannia-chastkovoi-kompensatsii-k1157\">Resolution No. 1157<\/a><\/strong> significantly expands the compensation programme through the Export Credit Agency. The list of assets covered by the mechanism has been expanded to include tanks and fuel, vehicles used for its transportation and storage, agricultural machinery, trucks and trailers weighing more than 7.5 tonnes. The compensation may also cover relevant movable property damaged while in transit through high-risk areas. At the same time, <strong>the maximum compensation for insurance premiums has been increased from UAH 3 million to UAH 5 million per year<\/strong> in total across all insurance contracts. The mechanism for compensating insurance premiums has also been extended to assets in which a business has an insurable interest, including leased assets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Association draws companies\u2019 attention to the fact that, in order to receive compensation for damaged or destroyed assets, businesses must join the relevant mechanism <strong>before the damage occurs<\/strong>. In addition, the acceptance of applications is subject to the available budget limits, so companies interested in participating are advised to review the eligibility requirements in advance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Another important decision is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmu.gov.ua\/npas\/pro-vnesennia-zmin-do-postanov-kabinetu-ministid-29-kvitnia-2026-r-594-i-1156\">Resolution No. 1156<\/a><\/strong>, which expands opportunities for financial support for business recovery. In particular, medium-sized and large businesses, including foreign-owned companies, are eligible for financing with <strong>5.5 percentage points of the interest rate compensated<\/strong> for the restoration of damaged or destroyed infrastructure and processing facilities, within the confirmed amount of losses. The minimum financing amount is <strong>UAH 100 million, and UAH 30 million for businesses in frontline areas<\/strong>. A separate working capital support mechanism is also provided for retail businesses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Following the adoption of these changes, <strong>the Association\u2019s Ukraine Recovery Committee, together with BDO in Ukraine, will soon update the practical guide<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eba.com.ua\/en\/vid-fiksatsiyi-zbytkiv-do-vidnovlennya-eba-prezentuvala-pokrokovyj-plan-dlya-biznesu-3-0\/\">\u201cFrom Recording Losses to Recovery: A Step-by-Step Plan for Business 3.0\u201d<\/a><\/strong>, adding information on the new opportunities and eligibility conditions for state support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In addition, <strong>on 24 September, the Association, together with the Ministry of Economy, plans to hold an online meeting with representatives of the Ministry and the ECA<\/strong>, where businesses will be able to learn more about the new provisions and ask practical questions about the application of the updated support mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>The Association thanks the Government, the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine and other relevant public authorities for their dialogue with the business community and looks forward to its continuation in order to develop an accessible and effective support system for companies operating and recovering in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Business Association\u2019s Ukraine Recovery Committee welcomes the Government\u2019s adoption of Resolution No. 1157 and Resolution No. 1156, which expand the mechanisms available to companies for war damage compensation, war risk insurance and recovery financing.
