On 18 September, the European Business Association\u2019s Health Care Committee held a working meeting with the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control.<\/p>\n
Given the current security challenges and infrastructure risks under martial law, including cases of pharmaceutical warehouses being damaged as a result of attacks, the Association and the State Service discussed the procedures to be followed by a licensee in the event of damage to or destruction of a licensed warehouse.<\/p>\n
Representatives of the State Service provided clarifications on the regulatory amendments developed to Clause 31-1 of the Licensing Conditions, aimed at ensuring business continuity and stability in the pharmaceutical market under crisis conditions.<\/p>\n
In particular, the discussion covered the possibility of storing medicinal products in additional warehouse facilities whose details have not yet been included in the licensing register, as well as using premises operated by other licensees for this purpose. Particular attention was paid to the possibility of simplifying organisational procedures and documentary requirements, as well as facilitating the prompt issuance of quality conclusions for medicinal products imported into Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Business representatives raised questions regarding the practical application of the proposed requirements and the specific challenges companies may face if their warehouse facilities are damaged or destroyed. Participants also discussed possible approaches to addressing such issues promptly.<\/p>\n
Representatives of the State Service emphasised their readiness to promptly address challenges arising for companies.<\/p>\n
The European Business Association thanks the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control for the constructive dialogue, the clarifications provided and its readiness to respond promptly to the challenges facing the pharmaceutical business.<\/p>\n
