BDO in Ukraine has become a signatory to the Human Capital Resilience Charter 2.0<\/a>, a national initiative launched by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. The initiative aims to bring together government institutions, businesses, and international partners to foster human capital development, support employees, and build a resilient labour market.<\/p>\n

The Charter is focused on promoting the principles of a people-centred business approach and brings together organisations that share the values of responsible leadership, equal opportunities, inclusivity, continuous development, support for veterans, and the creation of a safe and positive work environment.<\/p>\n

At BDO in Ukraine, these principles are an integral part of our corporate culture and everyday work with our teams. We consistently strengthen practices that support employees\u2019 professional growth, promote workforce well-being, and provide equal opportunities for everyone to develop and succeed.<\/p>\n

The Charter was formally signed during a meeting focused on the next stage of the initiative, including its guiding principles, priorities for the third and fourth quarters of 2026, future engagement with signatory organisations, and the contribution of international partners to the development of Ukraine\u2019s human capital.<\/p>\n

The meeting brought together representatives of BDO in Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Folke Bernadotte Academy, Korn Ferry, and other organisations that are part of the Charter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe meeting provided an opportunity to discuss some of the most pressing challenges facing Ukraine\u2019s labour market and explore potential ways to address them. Tackling these issues will require close cooperation between the public and private sectors. A key part of the solution lies in expanding labour market participation by broadening age representation in the workforce, encouraging more women to enter traditionally male-dominated professions, and ensuring both strong initial training and effective reskilling opportunities. It was encouraging to see so many organisations that share a commitment to long-term change and are willing to exchange experience and expertise in pursuit of common goals,\u201d <\/em>said Andrii Borenkov<\/a>, Head of Advisory at BDO in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cThe issues raised through the Charter are both timely and important. As Ukraine enters the fifth year of the full-scale war and continues to face demographic challenges, employers across both the private and public sectors are finding it increasingly difficult to attract and retain talent and build stable, sustainable teams for the long term. Workforce planning and the development of talent pipelines have become even more complex as a result.<\/em><\/p>\n

At the same time, organisations are beginning to address another critical challenge: the reintegration of demobilised veterans into the workforce. Many employers are only starting to develop the practices and support mechanisms needed to help Ukraine\u2019s defenders return to professional life in a meaningful and effective way.<\/em><\/p>\n

Initiatives such as the Human Capital Resilience Charter play an important role in bringing these challenges to the forefront and creating a platform for collaboration. They enable businesses, public institutions and other stakeholders to share experience, align efforts and work towards practical solutions. We are particularly pleased to see the strong support of our colleagues at the EBRD, whose programmes and projects continue to help employers across Ukraine strengthen human capital and workforce resilience,\u201d<\/em> said Bogdan Galkin, Project Manager at BDO in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

At the event, BDO in Ukraine<\/a> signed the declaration of accession to the Charter, reaffirming its commitment to participating in joint initiatives that support workforce development, employee well-being, inclusive workplace practices, and the long-term resilience of Ukrainian businesses.<\/p>\n

Joining the Charter reflects BDO in Ukraine\u2019s long-standing approach to placing people at the centre of its activities. We believe that resilient organisations are built on strong teams, inclusive workplaces, and responsible leadership.
