The meeting also brought together representatives of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine, Forests of Ukraine SE, wood processing companies, and relevant business associations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"764\">The participants discussed preparations for the quarterly timber exchange auctions for timber to be harvested in the fourth quarter of 2026. The discussion focused on the volumes of timber planned for sale, the formation of lots for high-value round timber of quality classes A and B, and approaches to setting starting prices.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"1071\">Representatives of the wood processing industry emphasised that, when determining starting prices\u2014particularly for pine timber\u2014it is essential to take into account current conditions in the European sawn timber market. This would help maintain the competitiveness of Ukrainian producers in export markets.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1073\" data-end=\"1286\">The participants also discussed the potential impact of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 865 on timber harvesting volumes in 2026\u20132027, as well as its practical implications for the industry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1288\" data-end=\"1502\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Following the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue and joint efforts to promote a transparent timber market and create predictable conditions for doing business.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Business Association participated in the latest meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation in the Forestry and Wood Processing Sector.
