A cross-committee meeting of the European Business Association was held with Serhii Tkachuk, Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to state regulation, digitalisation, and international trade.<\/p>\n
In particular, the discussion focused on the international ePhyto system. Business representatives emphasised the need to further develop the functionality of the electronic user account, which would enable more efficient interaction with public authorities. The digitalisation of services in the field of food safety was also addressed, including the eFood system. The introduction of electronic services is intended to minimise the human factor, accelerate application processing, and enhance the transparency of procedures. The Association expresses its gratitude for the involvement of its representatives in relevant working groups on the development of the eFood project.<\/p>\n
The parties also discussed the placing on the market of baby food, the regulation of dietary supplements, pet food, and biocidal products. The Head of the Service noted that the regulation of biocides is currently in a transitional phase, as new legislation is still being developed. At the same time, existing registrations remain valid within the framework of current legal requirements, ensuring stable operating conditions for businesses.<\/p>\n
