<\/span>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe EBA Logistics Committee together with EBA Odesa Transport Working Group held a meeting with the newly appointed Head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, Mykola Kravchuk<\/strong>, to discuss key challenges and initiatives related to supporting the operation of port infrastructure.<\/p>\nThe top priority for the sector remains the safety of navigation and the protection of port infrastructure. Equally critical for the USPA and port operators is ensuring an uninterrupted energy supply to Ukrainian ports.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the parties also focused on legislative initiatives. In particular, the USPA confirmed its support for the draft Procedure for Compensation of Investments in Port Infrastructure, jointly developed by member companies of the Association\u2019s Logistics Committee together with the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The participants also discussed prospects for restoring operations in the ports of the Mykolaiv region. The USPA noted that continuous communication is ongoing with the military and regional authorities. The resumption of port operations will only be possible once security issues are resolved and subject to approval by the military command.<\/p>\n
The Head of the USPA outlined key priorities, including digitalisation, the restoration of the Supervisory Board\u2019s work, and increasing cargo throughput. Structural optimisation of the Authority was also discussed, including plans to establish a unified Danube branch.<\/p>\n
A separate part of the discussion focused on preparations for the autumn-winter period. Approximately UAH 70 million has been allocated this year to provide enterprises with additional power generation capacity.<\/p>\n
Among other topics, the initiative to establish industrial parks was also discussed. The USPA generally supports this idea as a tool to attract new businesses and increase cargo flows.<\/p>\n
