<\/span>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\nOn 8 April, a meeting of the ESG Hub Working Group on Veteran Practices and Policies of the European Business Association was held, focusing on veteran employment.<\/p>\n
The event brought together service members, veterans, and business representatives to discuss and advance effective veteran policies and foster an inclusive working environment.<\/p>\n
The meeting was opened by Mykhailo Drapohuz<\/strong>, Head of Veterans Programmes at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group. He presented up-to-date statistics on veterans\u2019 return to professional life and society, and shared the bank\u2019s experience in implementing support programmes for employees returning from service, teams integrating veterans, candidates with military experience, and veteran clients.<\/p>\nSerhii Yanchuk<\/strong>, Head of the ESG Hub Working Group on Veteran Practices and Policies at the EBA, Veteran Officer at METRO Cash & Carry Ukraine and a veteran, presented the company\u2019s tailored approaches to supporting mobilised employees, returning veterans, and their family members.<\/p>\nMykhailo Onufer<\/strong>, Chief Veterans Officer at the Aurora multi-market chain, outlined the company\u2019s mechanisms and stages of engagement with veterans. In particular, he spoke about the internal veteran support system, a project aimed at employing veterans with limited mobility, and other support initiatives implemented by the chain.<\/p>\nTetiana Fishchuk<\/strong>, CEO of Projector Foundation, spoke about educational opportunities for service members and veterans. She focused on the challenges of transitioning into the business environment and shared a model for effective professional adaptation.<\/p>\nNataliia Petrenko<\/strong>, a representative of the Lobby X employment platform and career consultant, presented services for employers and career guidance opportunities for veterans aimed at facilitating effective employment and professional development.<\/p>\nThe event concluded with a moderated dialogue between business representatives and members of military units and veteran communities, including:<\/p>\n
\n- the Patronage Service of the Khartiia Corps;<\/li>\n
- the Support Service of the 12th Special Forces Brigade \u201cAzov\u201d of the National Guard of Ukraine;<\/li>\n
- the Third Army Corps;<\/li>\n
- the NGO \u201cVeterans Council of the 5th Separate Assault Kyiv Brigade\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Participants discussed practical challenges of veteran employment, expectations of the military from business, and opportunities for further cooperation.<\/p>\n
