<\/span>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\nOn 8 April<\/strong>, the Health \u0421are Committee of the European Business Association<\/span><\/span> held its spring meeting, bringing together representatives of the pharmaceutical sector and the expert community. Participants outlined a shared vision for the development of the industry amid martial law and Ukraine\u2019s gradual integration into the European space.<\/p>\nHeorhii Viktorov<\/span><\/span>, Chair of the Committee\u2019s Board<\/strong>, opened the event and highlighted the key challenges currently facing the sector. He also noted progress in advancing priority initiatives, emphasising the importance of open dialogue within the professional community.<\/p>\nCommittee Manager Anna Bezruk<\/span><\/span><\/strong> presented the work plan for 2026. The priorities include European integration and regulatory harmonisation, engaging the business community in shaping a new state control authority, further development of digital solutions in the sector, and expanding patient access to treatment through the \u201cAffordable Medicines\u201d programme and managed entry agreements.<\/p>\nAnna also stressed the gradual progress in implementing these priorities, particularly in strengthening dialogue with public institutions and ensuring that the expert position of the business community is taken into account in decision-making. The Committee continues to actively engage with key stakeholders \u2014 the Ministry of Health of Ukraine<\/span><\/span>, the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control<\/span><\/span>, the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine<\/span><\/span>, the National Health Service of Ukraine<\/span><\/span>, and others \u2014 contributing to regulatory developments and strengthening expert representation in the public domain in line with defined priorities.<\/p>\nPresentations by experts and Committee partners focused on key insights and transformations in the sector:<\/p>\n
\u2014 Representatives of Ernst & Young<\/span><\/span> \u2014 Yuliia Holovko<\/span><\/span>, Director of People Advisory Services in Ukraine<\/strong>, and Olena Torhonska<\/span><\/span>, Senior Consultant<\/strong> \u2014 presented an analytical overview of the labour market in the pharmaceutical sector. They highlighted changing employer expectations, global trends, and the shift towards skills-based approaches to talent management.<\/p>\n\u2014 Dmytro Aleshko<\/span><\/span>, Managing Partner at LA Law Firm<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, outlined recent regulatory developments in the pharmaceutical market, including the implementation of the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn Medicinal Products\u201d No. 2469, the development of the verification system, new labelling requirements, and approaches to parallel imports, contract manufacturing, and the establishment of a state control authority.<\/p>\n\u2014 Lana Sinichkina<\/span><\/span>, Partner at Arzinger<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, presented an overview of legal trends in the pharmaceutical industry. She addressed issues related to competition (antitrust) regulation, the development of managed entry agreements, cases involving the prevention of \u201cgrey\u201d imports, as well as anti-corruption and tax aspects of operations. The speaker also covered waste management and legal support for clinical trials.<\/p>\nThe event once again served as a platform for professional dialogue and networking, contributing to the consolidation of the industry community and the development of effective solutions for market growth.<\/p>\n
