On 8 April, the Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee and the Chemical Safety Subcommittee of the European Business Association<\/span><\/span> held a highly important and substantive meeting with Dmytro Zaruba<\/span><\/span>, First Deputy Head of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n Part of the meeting focused on questions and clarifications regarding state supervision (control) measures to ensure compliance with legislation, as well as market surveillance in the field of chemical safety.<\/p>\n Participants discussed:<\/p>\n The participants also agreed to enhance cooperation and information exchange in order to create a transparent and predictable regulatory environment.<\/p>\n Special attention was given to the need to harmonise the Technical Regulation on the classification, labelling and packaging of chemicals (CLP). Companies shared their views on the key risks and necessary changes.
