During the presentation, the Agency\u2019s head provided information on implemented measures, adopted legal and regulatory acts, and participation in relevant projects related to the implementation of state policy in the forestry sector.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"599\" data-end=\"773\">Following the presentation, a public discussion was held on the topic \u201cForestry Development in Wartime: Economy and Ecology\u201d. The discussion focused on three key areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"866\">Balancing increased timber harvesting with environmental obligations during martial law;<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"866\">Transitioning to close-to-nature forestry and preserving autonomous forests as key tools for achieving sustainable development goals;<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"866\">Fulfilling EU integration commitments in the context of forestry sector reforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1091\" data-end=\"1274\">EBA experts will continue active cooperation with the State Forest Agency to support the liberalisation and deregulation of business in the wood-processing and furniture industries.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yurii Andriiv, Committees Manager at the European Business Association, took part in the presentation of the 2025 public report by Viktor Smal, Head of the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine.
