The European Business Association welcomes the revision of approaches to regulating the export of timber raw materials<\/strong> established by Resolution No. 1795 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine \u201cOn Approval of Lists of Goods Subject to Licensing for Export and Import, and Quotas for 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n The EBA experts welcome the extension of the current moratorium<\/strong> to include a new type of raw material. In particular, the export of coniferous fuel wood under UKTZED code 4401 11 is prohibited. This will increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian manufacturers compared to other countries and ensure a more stable supply of raw materials to the domestic market.<\/p>\n The Association emphasizes that, given global trends\u2014namely, the support and development of domestic business\u2014the state’s primary task should be to meet the raw material needs of the domestic market.<\/p>\n The business community also welcomes the decision to exclude provisions that prohibited the export of cod<\/strong> (UKTZED code 4401 21 00 00). According to experts, the previous ban had a significant negative impact on cod producers and led to substantial financial losses.<\/p>\n According to information from the Association’s member companies, if the moratorium on cod exports had been extended, companies would have been forced to sell their products on the domestic market at prices that could have fallen by almost half compared to export prices.
