EBA Animal Health committee met with representatives from State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, research and educational institutes, producers of veterinarian medicines on round table \u201cPharmacovigilance in animal health care\u201d<\/p>\n

During the round table participants discussed implementation of pharmacovigilance in Ukraine as an important component of adaptation to the European veterinary legislation, European experience of pharmacovigilance system functioning and practical features of filling in forms and reports of pharmacovigilance in the EU countries, functioning of Ukrainian pharmacovigilance system in the health sector. Thanks to our speakers – Yuriy Kosenko, Neonila Romashkan, Oleksandra Sarsadskih and Rimma Battalova – for interesting reports and audiences for active discussion.<\/p>\n

Based on the results of roundtable, participants worked out directions for further work for the next year and determined their importance:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Cooperation with state authorities on the issue of collecting, analyzing and summarizing information on the safety and efficacy of veterinary drugs and post-registration evaluation of veterinary medicines in order to detect adverse reactions and associated adverse events<\/li>\n
  2. Active participation in working groups on the development of a mechanism for the recall of poor-quality veterinary drugs from the market<\/li>\n
  3. Implementation of the European experience in the field of veterinary medicines pharmacovigilance in cooperation with State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in context of implementation of the Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food “Regulation on the Basic Requirements for the Production of Veterinary Medicines and the Rules for the Good Manufacturing Practice of Veterinary Medicines”<\/li>\n
  4. Cooperation with Agrarian Educational Institutions in the field of practical training in pharmacovigilance experts in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
