At the same time, the current version of the Law requires improvement, as existing requirements are overly bureaucratic and do not provide incentives for the legal registration of lobbyists.<\/p>\n<p>Among the key proposals put forward by the business community are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>clarifying basic concepts (\u201clobbying\u201d, \u201ccommercial interest\u201d, \u201csubject of lobbying\u201d) and clearly defining the scope of the Law;<\/li>\n<li>simplifying reporting and improving the Transparency Register, where feasible;<\/li>\n<li>introducing new rights and incentives for registered lobbyists, such as the right to submit \u201clobbying requests\u201d, similar to legal inquiries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The EBA is convinced that improving the legislation will contribute to the development of an open and competitive economy and will strengthen trust in the institution of transparent lobbying in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The European Business Association expresses its sincere gratitude to Denys Maslov and Viktor Pavlushchyk for their productive and consistent cooperation with the EBA in building transparent regulation of business-government interaction.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 23 October, a working meeting took place between the Board of the European Business Association\u2019s Committee on Lobbying and Transparent Policies, Denys Maslov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy, and Viktor Pavlushchyk, Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).
