meeting of the expert group under the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took place. The Commission is tasked with investigating possible cases of corruption offences within law enforcement bodies, courts, and the judiciary.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"730\">The expert group includes representatives of the business community, in particular from the European Business Association, <strong>Anton Basystyi<\/strong>, Committee Manager at the EBA, and <strong>Orest Stasyuk<\/strong>, Head of the Business Security and Protection Committee and Partner at the law firm <em>Asters<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"1013\">The group\u2019s immediate priorities include analysing challenges in the operation of law enforcement and judicial bodies, preparing recommendations and drafting legislative initiatives, as well as conducting analysis of the activities of the High Qualification Commission of Judges.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1193\">The EBA thanks the Temporary Investigative Commission for the initiative to establish the expert group and looks forward to productive cooperation within its framework!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 22 August, the first meeting of the expert group under the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took place.
