In partnership with the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) and the International Scientific and Technical University name of academician Yuri Bugay (ISTU), BDO in Ukraine won the NEBA Alliance grant competition<\/a> in the \u201cPartnering with existing NEBA Hubs\u201d<\/em>category. It was the only Ukrainian application to be supported among more than 70 proposals submitted from 14 countries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The project is being implemented within the framework of the New European Bauhaus Academy<\/strong><\/a> (NEBA)<\/strong> initiative, which is supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and financed by the European Union.<\/p>\n

Joining the NEBA Alliance BDO in Ukraine and partners is not just an educational initiative<\/strong>. It is a strategic step towards establishing a new professional community that can effectively implement sustainable development<\/a> principles within the Ukrainian context. It is grounded in practical knowledge, an interdisciplinary approach and a focus on the real challenges of reconstruction.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis partnership represents a valuable opportunity to integrate NEB values into Ukraine\u2019s green recovery and to make high-quality, practice-oriented training available to local professionals and municipalities,\u201d said Vira Savchenko, the CEO of BDO in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

We are convinced that green transformation of Ukraine begins with education. KNUCA\u2019s participation in the NEBA Alliance contributes to the development of a new architectural and construction culture, in which sustainability, inclusivity and aesthetics are fundamentals, not trends,\u201d said Oleksii Shkuratov, KNUCA\u2019s<\/a> First Vice-Rector.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur course on climate and the built environment explores how architecture can mitigate the vulnerability of municipalities to climate change. We teach how space can be used for adaptation and provide comfort,\u201d says Vira Balabukh, Climatologist and Course Trainer.<\/p>\n

The project will be implemented from July to October 2025 <\/strong>as part of the Horizon Europe programme. The courses will become part of NEBA Academy, a European educational ecosystem that currently brings together partners from 22 countries. We are proud that Ukrainian online courses will be featured on this platform.<\/p>\n
