This calls for a systematic and structured approach from the business community.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"856\"><strong>Key Insights from the Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"1137\">Speakers included <strong data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"899\">Hennadii Sukharnikov<\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">sergeant of the 12th Azov National Guard Special Purpose Brigade, defender of Mariupol and co-owner of SABOTAGE coffee shop<\/span>, and <strong data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1047\">Yana Nadolina<\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Head of Training and Employment at the Veteran Support Service of the 12th Azov Brigade.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1171\"><strong>Real Value, Not Just PR<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1342\">The integration of veterans can be a powerful tool for strengthening an employer\u2019s brand. However, it is crucial that this does not become a mere formality or PR gesture.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1402\"><strong>A Quality Working Environment Is a Universal Need<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1403\" data-end=\"1574\">Experts emphasised that a comfortable and supportive work environment for veterans benefits all employees. An inclusive corporate culture is a win for the entire team.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1576\" data-end=\"1620\"><strong>Principles of Ethical Communication<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1756\">Representatives of AZOV.ONE stressed the importance of an ethical approach when interacting with veterans. Key recommendations include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Be human.<\/strong> Avoid pity or excessive dramatization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Be open.<\/strong> Discuss important matters during the interview stage to build trust and predictability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Allow authenticity.<\/strong> Don\u2019t impose labels or stereotypes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoid extremes.<\/strong> Neither glorify nor stigmatise veterans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2048\" data-end=\"2266\">The speakers also highlighted: a veteran is not just someone in uniform, but a person with unique experience,\u00a0one that can become a valuable asset to a company if integration is approached wisely and respectfully.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2445\"><strong>AZOV.ONE<\/strong> expressed readiness to partner with employers in the veteran reintegration process. <strong>They offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2445\">Practical training for veterans through specialised courses<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2445\">Employer consultations on veteran hiring practices<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2445\">Psychological support and guidance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2611\" data-end=\"2817\">The meeting clearly demonstrated that Ukrainian businesses are prepared to actively participate in the reintegration of veterans and are beginning to embed these processes into their ESG strategies.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 17 July, the Working Group on Veteran Practices and Policies held a meeting dedicated to the reintegration of service members and veterans into corporate environments as part of broader ESG strategies.
