<\/span>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\nOn 29 May, the Marketing and Communications Committee of the European Business Association held a roundtable discussion with representatives of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA). The meeting focused on the current state of communications and marketing education in Ukraine, as well as potential formats for collaboration between academia and the business community.<\/p>\n
Kateryna Pichyk, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Marketing and Business Management at NaUKMA<\/strong>, presented the university\u2019s approach to preparing future professionals. According to her, the university is not only training specialists but shaping agents of change through project-based learning, work with real business cases, and the development of soft skills and digital competencies. Kateryna also emphasised the importance of continuous engagement with business \u2014 through guest lectures, corporate involvement in student competitions, and dialogue around market needs.<\/p>\nDmytro Konyk, PhD in Sociology, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Public Relations and academic lead of the PR degree programme at NaUKMA<\/strong>, focused his remarks on the development of PR education in Ukraine. He stressed that the true value of the educational process lies not just in the transfer of knowledge, but in teaching students to independently navigate communication tools and think critically. According to Dmytro, NaUKMA is actively introducing modern tools and formats to ensure that education keeps pace with the market.<\/p>\nThe meeting served as a platform for dialogue on ways to foster greater cooperation between business and academia. Participants discussed potential formats of partnership that would help better prepare future specialists to meet the challenges and expectations of the job market. They also touched upon what both universities and businesses can do now to shorten the adaptation period for students entering the workforce.<\/p>\n
