The MOH plays a pivotal role in coordinating medical services and guaranteeing access to quality care for citizens. Additionally, it is responsible for ensuring the health of the nation, conducting disease prevention activities, and implementing programs aimed at combating epidemics such as COVD-19.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The team of BDO in Ukraine is auditing three important Projects of the MOH:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cHEAL Ukraine\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cServing People, Improving Health\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cUkraine Emergency COVID-19 Response and Vaccination\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The objective of the <strong>\u201cHEAL Ukraine\u201d<\/strong> Project is to mitigate the impact of the war on the loss of human capital and to implement key actions necessary to restore the partially destroyed healthcare system. The Project aims to improve the quality of medical care, including the development of new models and protocols for medical services provision, medical staff trainings, procurement of medical equipment and modern alternative energy sources, as well as repair \/ reconstruction of healthcare facilities, including project design.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u201cServing People, Improving Health\u201d <\/strong>Project is a vital initiative to enhance the quality of healthcare in Ukraine. The Project\u2019s primary objectives are to improve the quality of healthcare services and the efficiency of the healthcare system. A key focus area is the primary and secondary prevention of cancer and cardiovascular diseases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u201cUkraine Emergency COVID-19 Response and Vaccination\u201d <\/strong>Project was launched in 2020 in response to the global pandemic. This initiative is aimed at preventing, detecting and responding to the threat posed by the coronavirus, as well as strengthening the national healthcare system and ensuring public health preparedness in Ukraine. The project involves the procurement of vaccines, mass vaccination and the delivery of medical care for those affected by COVID-19. According to the official MOH data, <a href=\"https:\/\/moz.gov.ua\/uploads\/ckeditor\/yt\/%D0%86%D0%BD%D1%84%D0%BE%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%84%D1%96%D0%BA%D0%B0%20%D0%BF%D0%BE%20%D0%B2%D0%B0%D0%BA%D1%86%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%B0%D0%BB%D1%8C%D0%BD%D1%96%D0%B9%20%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%BC%D0%BF%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%96%D1%97%20%D0%B2%D1%96%D0%B4%20COVID-19.pdf\">as of March 6, 2023, more than 35.2 million vaccinations against coronavirus have been administered in Ukraine<\/a>, representing a significant milestone in the nation\u2019s efforts to combat the pandemic and safeguard the health of its citizens.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The independent audit of the special purpose financial statements of the aforementioned MOH Projects, performed by BDO in Ukraine, demonstrates a high level of trust and recognition of the professionalism of both parties.
