The basic knowledge gained at university is sufficient for most tasks, so no special training is required. Our experienced mentors will not only teach you how to solve practical problems but will also help you adapt to the work process by providing you with the necessary support and guidance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u2018I see some of the difficulties that newcomers sometimes face during their internship. So I want to share my recommendations with potential candidates. I&#8217;m sure it will help them focus on the right things and get involved in the work processes faster,\u2019 &#8211; says Oleksiy.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><strong>Tips for a successful internship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1) Habit of working in a different ecosystem. <\/strong>For example, not everyone used MS Excel programs actively enough, working instead in Google Sheets or using Canva or Figma services instead of MS PowerPoint.<strong> So the first tip <\/strong>is to remember how to use them and get used to the menu layout. This will reduce your stress level when you receive your working documents in this format.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>How to fix it?<\/strong> Any free courses, YouTube videos, or just doing your next assignment at the university in these programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Artificial Intelligence (AI). <\/strong>We actively use and encourage others to use AI. But except for the skill itself, it is also about your mindset. If you have a habit of doing everyday tasks with ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or other applications, it will be easier for you to work with an AI.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The second recommendation is to experiment<\/strong>. Try out AI, look for non-standard ways to solve your daily tasks, watch examples of prompts, and set a goal to reduce the time spent on routine tasks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Try translating texts right in the document, create a short summary of training materials, make a comparison for prices in a store, create an infographic, ask it to help you with formulas, search for specific elements in a document, format text, try to find the main idea from a video or a book.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3) Don\u2019t put off learning for tomorrow. <\/strong>Improve your level gradually. Many of my friends from different companies said that it is much more difficult to find time when you are already working. This will open up additional opportunities for you to work with international projects, it will be easier to work with different applications, participate in interesting events, get international certifications and even travel<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Professional knowledge and training. <\/strong>If you have a goal to prepare a week before the exit, the easiest way is to recall what you studied before. For many departments at BDO in Ukraine, it is important to have basic knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting. Review lectures, notes, remember the basics, look for courses. Any additional training is welcome. There is no such thing as too little knowledge in these areas. This will help you to develop faster during the internship, understand the terminology and context of the tasks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, the first 3 recommendations relate to your daily habits that will help you at any workplace. The last one can significantly speed up your adaptation and growth as a specialist with us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bdo.ua\/en-gb\/careers\/to-graduates\">the internship<\/a>, we will teach, help and support you, and create an individual development plan.
