Resolution No. 846<\/a> introduces the necessary changes to the technical regulations identified by the Government of Ukraine and the EU as a priority for the start of negotiations, as well as changes to the resolution defining the rules for affixing the conformity marking to goods that meet the requirements of the technical regulations adopted in Ukraine. Thus, it is expected that after the signing of the ACAA Agreement, businesses in Ukraine will be able to use either the national shamrock label or the EU CE mark of conformity, which is used to confirm compliance with EU regulations.<\/p>\nIt is worth noting that Ukraine is currently preparing to start negotiations on the signing of this Agreement in the first three priority areas, in particular, machine safety, electromagnetic compatibility and low-voltage equipment. The business community hopes for an early start of official negotiations. At the same time, after the conclusion of the Agreement in the first three priority areas, it is important to expand the ACAA Agreement to new sectors as soon as possible, including radio equipment, restriction of the use of hazardous substances, medical devices, etc.<\/p>\n
The European Business Association is grateful to the Ministry of Economy and other government agencies involved for the development and adoption of Resolution No. 846.<\/p>\n
We would like to remind you that the community has always actively supported the need to sign the ACAA Agreement with the European Union on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products as soon as possible. The signing of the ACAA Agreement will enable businesses to export or import industrial goods to\/from the EU member states without undergoing additional conformity assessment procedures and additional labeling. This is a very ambitious task that will significantly simplify regulatory barriers to the movement of goods, and thus will help Ukrainian exporters enter new markets and increase the number of their exports, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, expand the range of imports to Ukraine and reduce their cost.<\/p>\n
At the same time, in order to sign the Agreement, our country must fully harmonize the relevant legislation and ensure that our infrastructure in the field of conformity assessment meets EU standards.<\/p>\n
