This is an important initiative aimed at fostering dialogue and cooperation in the field of cybersecurity between key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as working on legislative initiatives in the field of cybersecurity. Especially in the context of a full-scale invasion, the issue of cybersecurity for both the public and private sectors becomes one of the main security priorities that needs to be improved and maintained at the proper level.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"3:1-3:40\"><strong>Main objectives of the Subcommittee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"5:1-8:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:144\"><strong>Support for public-private dialogue:<\/strong> Facilitate continuous dialogue on cybersecurity issues between government and private stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"6:1-6:172\"><strong>Advocacy:<\/strong> Promote the interests of the business community regarding regulatory and legislative initiatives aimed at improving the state of cybersecurity in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"7:1-8:0\"><strong>Interaction:<\/strong> Exchange of information and experience between members of the subcommittee, other associations, and international organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:205\">The co-chairs of the newly created subcommittee are cybersecurity experts: Yuriy Kotlyarov, Partner at Asters Law Firm, Head of Tech &amp; Comms practice, and Sergii Prynov, Acting CEO of Seeton Group LLC.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:122\">The co-chairs of the committee have already outlined a clear vision of activities for 2024, which includes, in particular:<\/p>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"13:1-15:19\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"13:1-13:304\">Organizing a series of meaningful meetings with key stakeholders in the field of cybersecurity, including: State Special Communications Service, National Cybersecurity Coordination Center of the NSDC, Ministry of Digital Transformation, NBU SBU, Ministry of Defense and GUR MO, industry stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"14:1-14:386\">Thorough work on registered draft laws, draft laws under development, published regulatory acts, and draft regulatory acts under development, in particular: draft law No. 11290 &#8220;On Cyber Protection of State Information Resources and Critical Information Infrastructure,&#8221; draft laws on personal data protection, draft act on the national cybersecurity response plan, and many others.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:19\">Support for the formation of a framework for the development of public-private partnerships in the field of cybersecurity.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"16:1-16:174\">Promoting the expertise of our companies in the domestic and foreign markets &#8211; including through participation in specialized exhibitions, forums, and conferences abroad.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"17:1-18:0\">Promoting the development of human resources: interaction with specialized educational institutions and organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"19:1-19:215\">The first open meeting of the EBA Cybersecurity Subcommittee, organized with the support of the Aspen Institute Kyiv, will be held on July 23, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Osvitoria Hub, 2 Knyaziv Ostrozkykh Street, Kyiv.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"21:1-21:110\">The agenda includes a presentation of the subcommittee&#8217;s plans and their discussion with invited participants.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"23:1-23:116\">If your company would like to participate in this event, please contact Anton Basystyi, <a href=\"mailto:Anton.Basystyi@eba.com.ua\" data-linkindex=\"0\" data-ogsc=\"\">Anton.Basystyi@eba.com.ua<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Business Association is pleased to announce the establishment of a new Subcommittee on Cybersecurity.
