The European Business Association is pleased to inform its member companies that as a result of fruitful cooperation and agreements reached with the Government of Moldova, with the assistance of the Logistics Committee and EBA Moldova, the administration of Chisinau International Airport has decided to introduce free cargo storage for 24 hours after registration at the cargo terminal.<\/p>\n
This gives companies from Ukraine access to night and early flights from Moldova to Europe and other countries, will reduce business costs and contribute to the growth of transit cargo flow from Ukraine. In addition, the airport administration will consider the possibility of changing the calculation of the storage tariff based on volume and weight, not the value of the cargo, by September 2024.<\/p>\n
Previously, the EBA appealed to the airport administration and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova with relevant proposals. According to the EBA’s experts, the introduction of a preferential period for transit cargo at Chisinau Airport will contribute to the diversification of export flows from Ukraine and will have a positive impact on attracting cargo to Chisinau International Airport.<\/p>\n
