The EBA business community welcomes the Government’s support for the draft Law “On Plant Protection Products and Fertilizers<\/a>“, which should harmonize Ukrainian legislation with the relevant EU regulations in terms of market access for plant protection products (PPPs), their active ingredients, and fertilizers.<\/p>\n

This is the first comprehensive revision of fertilizer and crop protection products legislation in almost 30 years, which aims to modernize the methods of controlling the circulation of crop protection products and fertilizers in Ukraine, improve traceability, reduce environmental risks, and bring Ukrainian regulation closer to European standards. On March 4, a draft law was registered<\/a> in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under the number \u211611062.<\/p>\n

The business supports the idea of proper and gradual adaptation of EU legislation on plant protection products and fertilizers to the realities of Ukrainian agriculture and thanks the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine for its professionalism and productive cooperation. At the same time, experts of the EBA Agrochemical Committee are ready to join the development of the draft law at the stage of its consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. We hope our joint work will result in a qualitatively new agrochemical legislation.<\/p>\n
