Since the beginning of 2023, business representatives have repeatedly expressed concern about the illegal pressure on enterprises by law enforcement agencies and emphasized the solution of this urgent problem.<\/p>\n
So, based on the statistics of Regional Index \u201cDoing business\u201d, conducted by the European Business Association, improving the work of the judicial and law enforcement system is one of the first conditions for revitalizing business. After all, it is corruption, together with unpredictable actions of the state that affect the work of business, that entrepreneurs call one of the main negative factors of influence.<\/p>\n
Therefore, on August 29, the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office <\/strong>organized a meeting of the business community with representatives of law enforcement agencies. From Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine<\/strong> was present temporary acting deputy head of the Subdivision, Vitaliy Movchan <\/strong>, the State Bureau of Investigation <\/strong>was represented by the head of the department of territorial administration in Mykolaiv Oleksandr Salata , <\/strong>also the deputy head of the department of investigation of crimes in the sphere of economic and official activity of the investigation department of the General office of the National Police in the Odesa region Andrii Kuvshinov <\/strong>and the representative of Department of Criminal Policy and Investment Protection of the Prosecutor General’s Office Maksym Chumak <\/strong>took part.<\/p>\nRepresentatives of law enforcement agencies talked about aspects of legal protection during investigative actions and answered urgent questions that concern business. The issue of establishing communication between representatives of the business community and law enforcement officers was also brought up separately, everyone unanimously agreed on openness in work and communication, which can quickly resolve issues related to the groundlessness or illegality of investigative or other operational actions.<\/p>\n
In summary, the smooth operation and trust of business in state institutions creates prerequisites for effective investment in the economy of Ukraine, and ensuring the rights and interests of business entities is the key to filling budgets at all levels. We want to emphasize that protecting the country means protecting investments in it. After all, an honest business continues to stay afloat, pay salaries and replenish the state budget. And now we especially need this power and faith of investors. Trust is based on security, transparent rules, and the ability to rely on law enforcement agencies in case of rights violations.<\/p>\n
