Despite the intimidation of another shelling on December 29, we still have gathered to unite. United for a good cause around the topic of volunteer solidarity tourism within the USAID Project “Economic Support of Ukraine”<\/strong> and declared our participation in the Memorandum on Network Cooperation<\/strong> on the protection of the Cultural Heritage of Ukraine by means of solidarity and volunteer tourism in the context of the solidarity economy in war and post-war times<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The essence of volunteer tourism at this time is personal targeted assistance to war victims, an opportunity to show empathy. This can be personal delivery and transfer of material aid, physical assistance in the reconstruction of destroyed or damaged housing of the civilian population, as well as assistance to forcibly displaced citizens who lost their housing and property and moved to other, safer regions of Ukraine. Assistance can be different – it all depends on the urgent needs of the victims, for whom, in addition to material assistance, psychological and moral support is also important.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you wish to come and personally provide such assistance to specific people or institutions that care for the victims, we will help you in this noble cause.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

joined the Memorandum, declaring direct communication with foreign partners and organizing volunteer tours, in accordance with the declared needs of the victims, using for these purposes also its own volunteer portal – a charitable donation platform for the Armed Forces and humanitarian projects http:\/\/raiseforukraine.org\/<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main goal of the signed memorandum is “to unite the efforts of all interested parties to support the development of culture and preventing the destruction of the Cultural Heritage of Ukraine due to the full-scale military aggression of Russia and to create a communication platform between the business environment, communities, educational institutions, “third party” organizations, state institutions, grant-giving organizations, representatives of the international community, regarding the development of solidarity and volunteer tourism as an innovative the concept of revival of tourism and support of territorial communities in war and post-war times in Ukraine”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
