The “Freedom Fighters: The strategy behind the knockout punch” talk takes place at the Web Summit 2022 main stage. During the discussion, Parimatch Tech CEO Maksym Liashko and Ukrainian professional boxer, world champion, and Parimatch Responsible Gambling Ambassador Oleksandr Usyk discuss how they built successful strategies in their areas and share achievements of supporting Ukraine. Moreover, speakers present their tools to achieve goals and share their experience in acting in a crisis as significant as a war.

The Ukrainian context is the primary vector of the speakers’ speeches. Oleksandr Usyk shares how he rethought his role and the role of his sports achievements in the context of helping the country. The world-famous boxer also elaborates on his charitable activities and the results they brought.

“Since the beginning of October, every day, Ukraine has been constantly shaled by drones and missiles. The enemy tries to destroy our infrastructure, and, of course, it is very hard to be without water and light because you can’t do anything. But even without electricity, Ukrainians themselves are the light that shines around the world,” said Oleksandr Usyk, Ukrainian professional boxer, world champion, and Parimatch Responsible Gambling Ambassador.

Maksym Liashko shares the results of the activities that Parimatch Tech provided to help Ukraine. As the CEO of a business with Ukrainian roots, Maksym mentions the difficulties that companies in Ukraine face now and emphasizes the crucial role of businesses in helping the country’s economy survive and develop.

“And so, I invite you to search for business partners among Ukrainian companies. Because you can be sure that despite all the difficulties they face in this environment, they still comply with their obligations and deliver their products and services, especially IT companies. IT keeps on working and keeps on delivering,” said Maksym Liashko, CEO at Parimatch Tech.

After the talk with Maksym Liashko, Oleksandr Usyk will take part in the “Growth and Development Despite the War” masterclass with Parimatch Tech Deputy CEO Evgen Belousov, Parimatch Ukraine CEO Nataliia Hilevych, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Oleksandr Bornyakov, and Vadym Voitiuk, Principal Solutions Architect at AWS. In a panel discussion format, the speakers will discuss Ukrainians’ unique take on overcoming issues and staying strong despite war-related challenges.
