On September 7, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by Resolution extended the effective deferrals for conscripts during the period of mobilization and martial law.<\/p>\n

These are deferrals granted by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in March-April, the term of which expires in September-October of this year.<\/p>\n

The European Business Association welcomes this decision and thanks the CMU and, namely, the Ministry of Economy, for the consideration of our position. People are the crucial factor for the successful and efficient operation of businesses. Thanks to their professionalism and hard work even in a crisis period, the business continues to stay afloat, work, adapt, launch new projects, etc. In fact, the extension of effective deferrals is one of the tools that will allow the business to continue working and hold the economic front.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the EBA community emphasizes that the time won by the extension of deferrals should be used for the creation of an efficient and transparent deferral mechanism in the future. There is an urge to adopt draft law No. 7687 “On mobilization training and mobilization” regarding the reservation of conscripts for the period of mobilization and martial law. The document enables the reservation of employees without concluding contracts for the mobilization tasks. This is an extremely important step, since the existence of mobilization tasks has demonstrated its inefficiency and significant slowdown, and sometimes a total cease of reservation processes. Moreover, during these two months, it is important to develop and adopt the by-laws necessary for its effective implementation. For its part, business is ready to develop relevant proposals, so we sincerely hope for a dialogue on this issue as well!<\/p>\n
