During the meeting, the participants discussed the functioning of the Supreme Court and the judicial system in general during the war. Today, the judicial system works stably, all cases are considered in a planned manner. Separately, it was about responsibility for collaborative activities. Yes, as of today, judicial practice is being developed regarding the application of this norm and the question of the formation of charges by prosecutors.<\/p>\n
The participants touched on the issue of business operations in the temporarily occupied territories. The Chairman of the Criminal Court of Cassation announced changes to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular, regarding Article 111-1 “Collaborative activity”. To date, the law has regulated the issue of responsibility for economic activity and interaction with representatives of the occupation authorities. At the same time, it is necessary to consider each situation in detail and determine the responsibility of the participants.<\/p>\n
The participants also discussed the issue of compensating companies for damage caused as a result of hostilities. From the first days, the President of Ukraine raised the issue of creating an international court. One of his tasks is the issue of compensation for material damage. So it was about possible ways to recover money for damaged property. Currently, work on this issue is ongoing with the involvement of judges, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice.<\/p>\n
As for recording, Stanislav Kravchenko noted the titanic work of the National Police, which is actively involved in recording damage to property and opening criminal proceedings in controlled territories.<\/p>\n
Despite the fact that the creation of an international tribunal has been announced, the Judicial Corps is determined that it will be within the competence of Ukrainian courts and responsibility will be determined in each individual case.<\/p>\n
The Committee for Business Protection and Security expresses its respect to the Supreme Court of Ukraine for communication. The parties agreed to continue the meetings and discuss problematic issues.<\/p>\n
