Particularly, there are difficulties with marking the products in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation. Moreover, it is currently difficult in Ukraine to assess the conformity of products to the requirements of Ukrainian technical regulations developed based on EU regulations, which also makes it impossible to put such products into circulation.<\/p>\n<p>The European Business Association has already urged the public authorities to allow temporally the free circulation in Ukraine of non-food products such as appliances, electronics, medical devices, detergents products, and cosmetics that meet the EU safety requirements. \u00a0Particularly, they should have the necessary declarations of conformity and EU marking.<\/p>\n<p>Draft Law \u21167324, developed by the Government, stipulates that during martial law and within three months after its abolition, it will be possible to put products subject to the technical standards adopted in Ukraine on the Ukrainian market. Such products must meet the requirements of EU legislation on which Ukrainian technical regulations were developed. Besides, the draft law recognizes the EU marking as equivalent to the Ukrainian mark of conformity to technical regulations. Therefore, the EBA welcomes this decision.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, business proposes to consider extending the period of temporary application of the provisions of Draft Law \u21167324 to at least 6 months after the abolition of martial law. According to the EBA member companies, even in peacetime, it could take a few months for some goods to reach Ukraine. At present, a significant part of logistics routes has been completely stopped, and the time period during which certain products can be delivered from the manufacturer&#8217;s plant to Ukraine will increase even more.<\/p>\n<p>The EBA has already addressed the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and the relevant Parliamentary Committees Chairs with a request to facilitate the promptest consideration and adoption of Draft Law \u21167324 on Recognition of Conformity Assessment in Ukraine.
