This week was full of pleasant events for our business community. That\u2019s why we are happy to share with you some in the field of agrochemistry, energy, regulatory issues, and medical devices.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00abAgro Varta\u00bb has received the UN Partnership for Sustainability Award 2021<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n This week, the Agro Varta project has received the UN Partnership for Sustainability Award 2021, Planet Category. The organizer of the awards ceremony is UN Global Compact Network Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n The Agro Varta project is implemented with the support of leading agrochemical companies on the EBA platform and aims to increase the collection and processing of used containers from plant protection products. We are extremely happy that the project received its first global recognition and we hope that it will help us introduce a culture of responsible waste management in Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n EBA presented the Energy White Paper with proposals from business<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Earlier this week, the EBA presented the Energy White Paper 2021\/22 \u2013 the first document that embraces consensus proposals from the business for solving problems in electricity &renewables, gas production, and gas distribution industries.<\/span><\/p>\n The White Paper contains a balanced view of market participants on the future of the energy sector, key issues, and due reforms. After all, it is important for the whole country to prevent a crisis in the industry, especially during the heating season. We hope that the document will serve as a reliable guide to energy reforms.<\/span><\/p>\n The sanitary and epidemiological conclusions can be obtained within 10 days<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n According to the EBA member companies, the term of consideration and obtaining the conclusions of the state sanitary-epidemiological examination has recently increased significantly \u2013 now it takes approximately a month. This situation leads to delays in the supply of goods to the Ukrainian market.<\/span><\/p>\n This issue was raised during a meeting of the European Business Association with the Deputy Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. Thus, businesses were informed that in the coming days they will approve a new procedure for obtaining conclusions, according to which the deadline for signing them will be reduced to 10 working days. It is also planned to launch an online platform where you can track the status of a draft conclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n EBA presented the results of the Infrastructure Index<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n During Infrastructure Day, the EBA presented the results of its annual expert survey on the current state of key infrastructure sectors. Within five panel discussions, business and government representatives summed up the results of work in the infrastructure sector of Ukraine in 2021, together with experts.<\/span><\/p>\n Double requirements for the regulation of disinfectants and biocides were excluded from the updated draft law “On Chemical Safety and Management of Chemical Products”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n On December 1 this year, an updated version of the draft law “On Chemical Safety and Management of Chemical Products” was published on the website of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine which exclude the extension of the law to the regulation of disinfectants and biocides, including some medical devices. It will be recalled that in 2020 the first version of the draft law “On Chemical Safety” was developed, which proposed the introduction of regulations and another register for disinfectants and biocides. This would introduce double regulation, as this area has long been regulated by the laws of Ukraine and Orders of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and the Procedure for registration of disinfectants and Technical Regulations for medical devices.<\/span><\/p>\n The EBA thanks the policymakers for understanding the risks that may arise in this area and for making appropriate changes to the updated version of the draft law.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This week was full of pleasant events for our business community.
