For the second year in a row, the European Business Association is conducting a survey among member companies represented in the regions on the ease of doing business. According to the newest results, entrepreneurs from the Western Ukrainian region turned out to be the most optimistic among all four other regions with EBA representation.<\/span><\/p>\n Thus, the integrated value of the ease of doing business index amounted to\u00a0<\/span>2.95 points<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and remained at last year’s level. More than half of the respondents, namely 52%, consider the conditions for doing business in the region satisfactory (74% last year), while the opinions of others are divided \u2013 24% say they find it difficult to do business, and another 24% say it is easy. Last year, only 6% rated the business environment as favorable.<\/span><\/p>\n The assessment in dynamics showed that most companies believe that the conditions for doing business have not changed \u2013 43% or have deteriorated \u2013 38%. And only 19% say that it has become easier for them to do business.<\/span><\/p>\n This year, bureaucracy came first among\u00a0<\/span>the TOP-3 factors<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0that negatively affect the ease of doing business in the region, followed by corruption and unsatisfactory infrastructure. Last year, this anti-rating in the region was led by corruption, and bureaucracy was in third place.<\/span><\/p>\n About 52% assessed\u00a0<\/span>the state of transport infrastructure<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in the region as satisfactory, 29% as negative, and 19% as good. And these estimates have improved significantly compared to last year. As in the previous year, the priority tasks for further improvement of the transport infrastructure included the reconstruction of highways and the modernization of railways.<\/span><\/p>\n
